As the carefree days of summer begin to wane and the first signs of fall start to appear, the fun times begin in the Wisconsin Dells. The WO-ZAH-WA Festival, taking place this year on September 15-17, literally translates to “fun time” in the native Ho-Chunk language, and we at Spring Brook Vacation Home Resort can’t wait to partake in all the excitement! Offering food, family fun, and an all-American parade that celebrates everything that makes this part of Wisconsin one of the most sought-after vacation spots in the world, we invite our guests who have been thinking about what to do during their kids’ fall break to come check out this festival in Wisconsin Dells and enjoy a few days of relaxation and comfort in our Spring Brook sanctuaries at the same time.

Don’t Miss The WO-ZAH-WA Festival

It can be difficult finding a vacation experience that appeals to all, but the WO-ZAH-WA festival is an event that will change all that! For over 50 years, the festival has literally brought fun into our town, and although its original purpose was to be a carnival that helped benefit local clubs, it has turned into an exciting festival that draws crowds from all over the world.

And because each year it keeps getting better, (hard to believe when it was almost perfect already!) this year, spread throughout vendor tents and carnival rides, guests will find gourmet food trucks destined to match every food craving. Each day of the event brings something special, including an antique fair, a flea market, and an arts and crafts fair filled with thousands of treasures you didn’t know you needed until you were holding them in your hands.

The Maxwell Street Days also celebrate the beauty and charm of the Wisconsin Dells. Free family activities will ensure that every member of your traveling group will be having the best times and carnival rides will bring up memories of your own childhood, when you rode the rides that went ‘round and ‘round or high in the sky over and over again.

The festival is also when Wisconsin’s oldest long-distance race takes place, and the live entertainment that plays throughout the two days provides the perfect accompaniment of fun. The parade is the last event on the schedule, taking place at 1 PM on Sunday, and with 100 entrants, it will charm and delight!
