Night of Lights

As mentioned, Wisconsin Dells is known as the Water Park Capital of the World, and for good reason. You will find that Wisconsin Dells has tons of local water parks, each with their own unique offerings found inside. One of the biggest and most popular parks here in the area is Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park. They have a sprawling water park that will take all day to explore and then some. Mt. Olympus also features an indoor portion of the water park that allows you to enjoy a dip in the water even when it is winter outside!

In addition to the indoor water park, you will also find that Mt. Olympus hosts their annual holiday event, the Night of Lights, all holiday season long. This festive event turns the park into a dazzling display of millions of Christmas lights for you and your family to see. Their outdoor theme park is turned into a half mile walk with over two million holiday lights on display. Many of the lights are synced up to holiday music for an incredible show you will want to see over and over again. During your walk you will be able to purchase hot cocoa and snacks to help keep you warm. Entry into the Night of Lights is always included in your all day water and theme park ticket or can be purchased separately if you do not plan on visiting the parks during the day. This is one of Wisconsin Dells most exciting events that you will not want to miss out on this year. Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park’s Night of Lights will take place this year from November 29th through January 4th, giving you plenty of time to stop by!

Tree of Light

Like other cities, Wisconsin Dells has its very own holiday tree right here in Downtown Wisconsin Dells called the Tree of Light. The name is appropriate for this massive 55-foot-tall silver maple tree that is adorned with thousands of Christmas lights along with 100 light spheres. It is a one of a kind display in the Midwest and will easily gather your attention when you visit it. The Tree of Light will be turned on for the first time on November 8th making it an early holiday event of the season. The event will have Santa Claus present from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a fun and festive meet and greet. Carolers will also be on hand singing your favorite holiday songs. The tree will officially be first lit for the season at 4:30 PM. The Tree of Light will then be turned on at 4:30 PM every day from November 8th up until January 1st for everyone to see. Stop by any Friday or Saturday during this time for another visit from Santa Claus from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Wisconsin Dells High School Choir will also be present on special dates too. You will also want to explore the River Walk where the Tree of Light can be found to see over 70 decorated trees that have all been sponsored by local businesses. Wisconsin Dells knows how to put on a display for the holiday season, and it all starts with the Tree of Light. Come see this marvelous display during your holiday stay!

Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt
