Fall Wine Walk
October 5, 2019
Fall in Wisconsin Dells has a special allure. It’s the season of festivals. As the temperature cools and nature puts on a colorful dress, this is the time to go out and celebrate the scenic views. And it helps if there’s wine to make the celebrations even merrier! Wine walks are so popular in Wisconsin Dells, there are two now every year. One is in the spring and the other is the Fall Wine Walk, to be held on October 5th, 2019. This is the second year for the fall event, and thanks to the success of the previous one, this year will see a large number of businesses in downtown Wisconsin Dells taking part. Tickets are limited and will go on sale in late summer and cost about $40.
The event has a magical effect on downtown Wisconsin Dells. For the Fall Wine Walk, all the participating businesses and restaurants become a legitimate place to taste wine. This means you can just walk into these fine establishments, and whether they typically sell wine or not, you can be audacious enough to ask for a taste of their fine wine. Red or white is your choice. You also get a small plate of delicious hors d’oeuvres to go with the wine.
To take part in this amazing event and be able to sample all the wines in all the shops in town, you’ll need to get a ticket. The ticket also comes with a booklet that details all the wines on offer and where you can find them. And because of the nature of the event, only individuals 21 years and older can take part. You’ll need to present proof of identity and age when buying the tickets.
By Popular Demand
As one of the most popular things to do in Wis Dells, the Fall Wine Walk is the brainchild of the people who came up with the idea for the Spring Wine Walk. After seven years of great success, the organizers decided that maybe the townsfolks needed another wine walk; one event a year just wasn’t enough! A questionnaire filled up by people who had enjoyed the spring event showed that about 95% of the participants would welcome a second wine walk, preferably during the fall season. And since many businesses were eager to take part, the fall event came into existence. This year about 20 businesses are expected to participate.
