Little girls all over the countryside spend childhood fantasizing about their big day. From flowers to invitations and gowns to updos, the details of a wedding are what can make it memorable or miserable. Recently, the events staff took a trip into the dreams of one such aspiring Princess. The result began much like a children’s book.
“Once upon a time there was a lovely lady named Kara Huber and a handsome lad named Tyler Ruchti. They wanted a unique, casual yet classy, elegant yet simple wedding and reception.”
However, without a magic wand, turning a little girl’s vision into reality is easier imagined than executed. Heralded for it’s convenience, Spring Brook has the ability to provide amenities, accomodations, and planning flexibility. According to Lisa Pfeifer, Event Coordinator, the popularity of the outdoor tent along with the kitchen’s adaptability to a variety of menu requests make the nearly thirty weddings held at the resort each summer a lot of fun to put together. “Working with each group to turn a vision into reality is extremely rewarding. Procession to party time, our aim is to bring the storybook alive.”
Kara’s choice of Caribbean theme and color scheme provided the wow factor. The matching nautical decorations were simple and perfectly placed. With ideal summer weather, guests enjoyed a short outdoor ceremony complete with fantastic gowns and dapper tuxedos. The food was unconventional (no dry banquet chicken here) yet extraordinary. And in true Wisconsin fashion the spirits were flowing, feet tapping, and hips swaying to the sounds of music well into the evening both inside the bar and out on the patio.
The real beauty of the feast though was the guests and participants were free to enjoy the true reason for the reception. To wish Kara and Tyler the best as they embark on the magical journey of matrimony.
The story doesn’t end here for Tyler and Kara but as for the ball, grandmother Donna chose these appropriate words to sum it all up- “ It was so perfect & beautiful- like a fairy tale fantasy”
Just as every aspiring princess’ special day should be.
